Carrier oils are natural vegetable oils that you can apply to your skin either exactly as they are or in blends. Using a carrier or carrier oil is the safest way to apply essential oils to your skin without risking reactions like irritations.

Below you’ll learn 10 great essential oil combination recipes you can use on yourself and others! So simple to make, just add essential oils in combination with your favorite carrier oil!

10 Essential Oil Combinations for Roller Bottles:

What you’ll need:

  • 10 ml glass roller bottle
  • Carrier Oil ( jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, etc.)
  • Essential Oils

The following recipes are for a 10 ml roller bottle. You can use a carrier oil of your choice. I like to use jojoba oil or sweet almond oil.

Directions: Add the essential oils and fill the rest with your favorite carrier oil. Be sure to leave enough room at the top of the bottle to apply the roller cap. Pop the roller cap back on and shake gently. Roll on your wrists, neck, temples, or specific area of your body that is causing discomfort. (Caution: Avoid eye contact and direct contact with mucous membranes.) 

 

Muscle Aches:

  • 3 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 3 drops of wintergreen essential oil
  • 2 drops of lemongrass essential oil
  • 2 drops of juniper essential oil

Roll directly on the specific muscle that’s causing discomfort and rub into your skin.

Stress Relief:

  • 4 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 2 drops of frankincense essential oil
  • 2 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops of chamomile essential oil

Rub on your wrists and inhale. You can also apply behind your ears as well.

Calm Your Mind:

  • 5 drops of bergamot essential oil
  • 5 drops of frankincense essential oil

Apply behind your ears. In addition, you can also roll on the wrists, rub your wrists together, and deeply inhale.

Sleepy Time:

  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops of clary sage essential oil

Apply to wrists, chest, and/or bottom of feet.

Headache Relief:

  • 4 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 4 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 3 drops of chamomile essential oil

Roll on your temples and the back of your neck. Be careful not to get the oil into your eyes. 

Energy Booster:

  • 3 drops of orange essential oil
  • 3 drops of frankincense essential oil
  • 3 drops of cinnamon essential oil

Apply behind your ears and on your wrists. Rub your wrists together and breathe the aroma in with a few deep breaths.

Focus & Concentration:

  • 5 drops of orange essential oil
  • 5 drops of peppermint essential oil

Apply behind your ears and on your wrists. Rub your wrists together and breathe the aroma in with a few deep breaths.

Colds & Flu:

  • 4 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 2 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
  • 2 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

Roll on the bottom of your feet, let the oil absorb into your skin for a minute or so, and put socks on.

Immune Booster:

  • 2 drops of oregano essential oil
  • 2 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 2 drops of frankincense essential oil
  • 2 drops of cinnamon essential oil
  • 2 drops of melaleuca essential oil

Roll on the bottom of your feet, let the oil absorb into your skin for a minute or so, and put socks on.

Upset Stomach:

  • 3 drops of ginger essential oil
  • 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 2 drops of fennel essential oil
  • 1 drop of coriander essential oil
  • 1 drop of lemon essential oil

Roll directly on your stomach and gently rub the oil in.
